Victorian Government Recognises Kung Fu Wushu Victoria (KWV)

KWV President Dana Wong has today advised of the recognition of KWV by Sport and Recreation Victoria (SRV):

“I am happy to announce that Sport and Recreation Victoria (SRV) has officially recognised Kung Fu Wushu Victoria Inc. (KWV) as the State Sporting Association for Kung Fu, Wushu and Tai Chi in Victoria. SRV confirmed that KWV has fulfilled all eligibility requirements to SRV’s satisfaction and they looked forward to KWV’s input and participation in their upcoming Victorians More Active 2012-2015 campaign and other projects to come. Our official recognition and involvement with SRV will surely provide more and better opportunities and benefits to our Victorian members. I certainly encourage all Victorian Chinese martial artists to take advantage of these opportunities and to get involved with us here at KWV.”

KWA National President Walt Missingham commented:
A job well done by Dana and his team they are a highly effective management team getting  outcomes for Chinese martial arts in Victoria- this official recognition and the financial support that can follow will only enhance an already strong situation for KWV. It is a great thing that practitioners of Kung fu, Wushu and Tai Chi now have a government recognised association to represent them in Victoria
