Kung Fu Wushu Australia (KWA), ACN 141 125 117, is officially recognised by the Australian Sports Commission as the peak organisation governing the interests of Kung Fu/Wu Shu in Australia.
KWA is an executive member of the Martial Arts Industry Association and is a signatory to the National Code of Practise for Martial Arts centres and Instructors. KWA is also a member of the International Wu Shu Federation (Beijing) and the Oceania Wu Shu Federation.
KWA has a number of important responsibilities, these are:

The administration of the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme (NCAS) for Kung Fu/Wu Shu

The peak official sanctioning body for all State and national Kung Fu and Wu Shu Championship events and competitions in Australia

The key consultative body on Kung Fu/Wu Shu related matters to all State and Federal government departments

The sole representative body in the Australian development of Wu Shu as an Olympic sport

The provision of specialist member support services
Kung Fu has a long and diverse history and his been practiced in Australia since the 1850s. All of the KWA’s members are endorsed as legitimate instructors who are accredited via a government recognised accreditation program(see our page Instructor Accreditation).
