Federal Government Grants

AKWF wishes to draw the attention of members to 2 Federal Government programs that may be of interest:

1. Community Action Grants (CAG) under the National plan to Reduce Violence Against Women and  their Children – these grants are intended to increase community awareness of this important issue and to help change attitudes and behaviours so that violence against women is not tolerated in our society. Applicants can apply for funding of up to $250,000 over 3 years from July 2011 to June 2014.

Applications for funding close at 5.00pm AEST on Monday 30 May 2011.

2. The Multicultural Youth Sports Partnership Program – these grants are available for projects/programs which engage multicultural youth in participating in sport and physical activity. Applicants can apply for funding of between $5,000 to $50,000 annually.
