IWUF President Yu Zaiqing has announced the appointment of Glen Keith as Chairman of the new IWUF Disciplinary and Appeal Committee. The size and appointment of the DC will be discussed and settled in a few weeks. It shall start to function according to President’s call in case of appeals.
AKWF National President commented: “I doubt President Yu could have chosen a better more able person for this important new position. Glen brings a unique blend of administrative experience from both the government and martial arts sectors that can only enhance the effective functioning of this
important Committee…I will release more operational details of this Committee as I am advised but from my discussions on this matter it will function along the lines of similar Committees from other International Sporting Organisations in that it will deal with disciplinary actions taken against members, officials and athletes that have been charged with any drug related offences or offences that are seen to have brought our sport into disrepute.”
Glen Keith is the President of the Oceania Wushu Federation and the New Zealand Kung Fu Wushu Federation and has been a frequent visitor to Australia in recent years supporting our Oceania and Australasian events.
